Start by testing whether the programme solves the right problem.
- Who is the programme designed for?
- What prior knowledge is required?
- What will I be able to do after completion?
- Can I see a detailed curriculum?
- How is learning assessed?
Questions about the provider and credential
Clarify who performs each role instead of assuming the seller also sets or assesses the standard.
- Who teaches the material?
- Who owns and updates the curriculum?
- Who issues the certificate or designation?
- Can any accreditation or recognition claim be independently verified?
Questions about money and access
Ask for current written terms and keep a copy.
- What is the complete cost, including exams and renewals?
- How long does access last?
- What are the refund, deferral and retake rules?
- Are there geographic, language or time-zone limits?
Questions about evidence and outcomes
Ask how outcome claims were measured and whether they apply to people like you.
- What evidence supports employment or pass-rate claims?
- Are testimonials typical, selected or incentivised?
